Sunday Supper With Guest: Lizann Grupalo - International Trade and Georgia

Sunday Suppers are casual gatherings where new ideas and stimulating conversation are the main fare. The guest speaker leads an informal discussion based on their work or topic of interest. Reservations are open to current Harvard Club of Georgia members and Harvard Business School Club of Atlanta their guests on a first-come, first-served basis. The Atlanta Chapter of Harvard Women in Defense, Diplomacy, and Development (W3D) is co-hosting the November event.

Attendance is limited to 12 people so that the conversation is more personal and happens around the dinner table.

The dinners are Pot-luck, so please bring a dish that you like that you can share. The November dinner location will be at the home of Mike St. Louis.

SPEAKER: Lizann Grupalo

Lizann Grupalo serves as Deputy Commissioner of International Trade at the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD). In this role, she oversees the team that assists the expansion of Georgia’s exports and business growth through increased international sales, supporting a resilient state economy. International Trade’s services include market intelligence, problem-solving consultations, and meaningful connections to key international opportunities.

Prior to her current role, Lizann served as the Director of Business Development at AMI Group in Atlanta. She has extensive experience in international business development and global sales in the food and beverage, hospitality, and aviation industries, bringing a wealth of knowledge in a variety of global
settings.

Originally from California, Lizann holds a B.A. from Santa Clara University, and an M.B.A. from the Fisher Graduate School of International Business at Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey. She has studied German, Italian, and Spanish, and is the author of The Commodity of Time, a memoir.

A career in international business development and sales along with her entrepreneurial and adventurous spirit has encouraged her to live greatly and explore the world.
