Negotiating the Nonnegotiable: How to Resolve Your Emotionally Charged Conflicts

Please join us for a special lecture with Daniel L. Shapiro, founding director of the Harvard International Negotiation Program.

Named one of the top 15 professors at Harvard University, Dr. Shapiro is a world-renowned negotiation scholar who has advised everyone from government leaders and Fortune 500 companies to hostage negotiators and families in crisis. His lectures bring these experiences to life through the personal stories of his global research. He has launched successful conflict resolution initiatives in the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia, and for three years, chaired the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Conflict Resolution. He is co-author of the negotiation classic Beyond Reason and author of Negotiating the Nonnegotiable, which Matthew Bishop of the Economist Group noted as “quite simply, the best book I have ever read on negotiating in situations of extreme conflict.” He is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital and affiliate faculty at the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
