The transatlantic region traditionally referred to North America and Europe, but Africa's growing importance due to its young population, natural resources, and economic potential has made it a crucial participant. Strengthening transatlantic relations between Africa and the rest of the region requires a focus on trade and investment, security, climate change, and diplomacy.
